Night Out before the Games Begin

We taxied to the City Centre on Long Street, where we walked to view some of the opening ceremonies on a big screen. There were tons of people wearing their flags, blowing Vuvuzela's (the loud long horns) and many South Africans signing their song. We joined in for the celebration:

The streets were packed and everyone was having so much fun. We decided to get out of the crowd and find a near-by bar to have a few drinks. We sat outside and watched all the passer-byers celebrating in the street:

The bar had an interesting sign to show us where the men & women's bathrooms were:

Then we all got hungry so we went to Fork on Long street. This was a cute little Tapas restaurant where we ordered baked goat cheese balls, Kudu, pork belly, meatballs, ostrich, Fries that tasted exactly like McDonald's, sweet potatoes & an amazing Toffee pudding dessert

  1. Those Vuvuzela sound so annoying. Remember, if you can..BRING ME ONE! :-) I tried looking for you during the France game. I think that was the one you were at. No luck :-(
