It rained this morning, which was fine because we had nothing really planned today except watch games, eat some food, & relax. I decided to get up & make a delicious breakfast - scrambled eggs with onions & peppers, kiwi, & white toast with butter. We brewed some coffee & then while the boys watched the first game of the day - Algeria vs. Slovenia, Ali & I went out for an afternoon jog. We saw lots of people out by the ocean, some were playing soccer. We saw some pretty big waves crashing into the rocks and we even felt some of the water because it splashed over the walls. Then we walked over to Caturra's and got ourselves a Freezie, which they say is 98% fat free. I got a peanut butter & chocolate, while Ali got a peanut butter & white chocolate. They were AWESOME!!!
When we got back we watched the Ghana vs. Serbia and then got ready to go out for a nice dinner. We taxied it over to Camps Bay area, south of where we are staying, and went to a really nice restaurant called Blues. It was fancy, but really good:
Ali got the Tuna
Tim got the Salmon
Tony got Springbok, which was pretty good. We thought that Ostrich was definitely better, but Springbok wasn't that bad either.
I got the Prawn Pot, that had a side of rice. Now these where full Prawn, eyeballs and all. Tim finished his meal before I was even done peeling the shells off the giant shrimp. However, it was well worth it because it was really good. I ate the whole thing!
Now we are at our apartment and watching the Germany vs. Australia teams. We'll see how it goes!
i'm so impressed w/ all this jogging!! ha!
ReplyDeletehahaha I know right, it's just so gorgeous along the ocean here it keeps making us want to go. Plus, Ali is getting me to go more.
