Ahhh sleeping in is wonderful, I could get use to this, however, I'm still getting up at 7:45 am. Tony slept in longer, so I sat outside and did some bloggin'. I had a cat join me on my front deck while I was typing away:

When Tony woke up around 9am, we went to get our breakfast. I got the same thing I got the day before, because those scrambled eggs with onion, ham & cheese were so tasty. Tony's breakfast was a little different, they had a new Thai dish this morning; noodles & chicken with Thai chilies. Tony kept saying how hot it was, but that's what he wanted, & he got it!
After breakfast we went back to get ready for the beach. Tony was still pretty tired so he took a quick little nap while I took our stuff to the beach. There were no chairs available because people get up super early and place their towels on them, so I just laid in the sand on my towel. It was HOT!! So I took a swim in the water, and then back to my towel and read a little of my book.

Then Tony can out and 2 chairs opened up so we were able to relaxing on the lounge chairs. We went into the water together with our big yellow raft. It was hard with 2 of us, but we managed. All this beach time was making us hungry so we got ice cream from one of the people walking along the beach and relaxed some more.

Next was to take a walk on the other side of the beach that we hadn't explored the other day. This side had much bigger waves and seemed more "partyish" - lot of younger people, more crowded, and more bars.

We were looking for a place to have lunch, but nothing on that side of the beach appealed to us. So we headed back towards our hotel and went on the other side where we found a place called relax. Well this is perfect for us because we are super relaxed today!

We sat down and had a nice view of the beach & golf.

I decided to get myself a FUN drink and ordered a Mai Thai and Tony got himself a Sprite. We shared a large water and then ordered our food.

I wanted a good curry dish and in the south they are known for the coconut curries. So I did just that, I ordered a coconut shrimp curry with rice. It was extremely good but definitely had a kick to it! I ate all that I could and enjoyed it.

Tony on the other hand needed something non Asian, so he got himself a burger & fries. The fries were really good, I took one! And Tony said he really enjoyed his burger, it's just what he needed.

We journeyed back to our hotel to sit out on the beach after a long walk & harder meal.

But now it is time for another massage! I just have to take advantage of these incredible massages. Since I had been in the sun for a while and noticed I was a little red (even thought I put on sun screen & reapplied), I decided to get the after sun massage which ended up being a great choice. She mixed together some lotions with aloe, I believe. It felt so cool and soothing, I just loved it. It was basically the same kind of massage as a Thai massage, but this time really rubbing in the lotion & aloe, it felt GREAT.

While I was getting a massage, Tony sat at a table with the ocean breeze keeping him cool and emailed our Phuket hotel to see if they could pick us up tomorrow (yep, we leave Koh Samui and head to Phuket on Valentine's Day). Then he also took care of what we needed done with check out at our current hotel & how to get a taxi to the Samui Airport then next morning.
Hanging out at the beach was great, we had this guy, with his fantastic hair sitting right next to us, we just didn’t get how he did it!

After my massage & Tony figuring out our plans, we got ready for the night. We wanted to go back and do some more shopping. It’s so fun going to all the little outdoor shops, bargaining with the people, seeing all the different things they have & buying stuff for an inexpensive price. But first we were hungry, it was now 7pm and wanted to get some food to eat. We decided to walk the other direction then we did the following night for dinner. We checked out some menus on the side of the roads, until we came across this place called Seafood Restaurant. It was huge, like everything about this place was big. We looked at the menu and they had EVERYTHING & ANYTHING you wanted, so we took a seat. Walking through this place I felt like I was at Disney because how big and decorative it was.

We ordered a bottle of South African wine to go with our dinner (this was our last dinner in Koh Samui) and went through this long long menu.

Tony found an incredible appetizer that we got. It basically was chicken curry inside a fried potato cup. OH MY GOODNESS, this was amazing!!! We loved them; Tony’s already planning how he can make them when we get home.

For dinner, Tony got beef with a red curry. He thought it was just ok, not his favorite.

| Eat up! |
I decided to get a traditional Pad Thai. It was delicious. Tony was a little jealous of my dish, so I shared some with him!
 |
| SO GOOD! |
Then while we were enjoying our wine, girls came out and did some traditional Thai dances along with men playing instruments. It was very very cool to see the girls dance and the intricate hand movements along with their decorative costumes. I just loved it!!

This is just a side note that I thought of, but when we are walking from restaurant to restaurant, places have huge tubs with ice showing off the fish, mussels, shrimp that they can serve you. We past this one place and it was the BIGGEST shrimp I have ever seen in my life, like almost the size of a whole sleeve of crackers and fat too, meaty. I didn’t get a picture though, sorry.
 |
| Very fresh seafood! |
We left our dinner and started our shopping spear. There were just so many places, one after another, you can just spend hours here. Some of the places do have the same stuff, but you can always find different stuff. There is a ton of knock off designer bags, clothes, jerseys, suitcases, sunglasses, etc. But it looks real, but what do I know about that! I bought a bracelet for $3, another pair of the Capri pants in brown, Tony got a Chang Beer T-shirt (it felt like it was made very well), and I bought a flower candle (they had these all over and I really liked them!).
 |
| Bought some stuff down here! |
As we continued walking, we came across this one street that steered of the main area. There looked to be a lot of bars and people heading that way, so we wanted to explore. Well, let me tell you, this is where you can kind all the Thai women. It was insane! We past, what looked to be a strip club, and as we kept walking it was one bar after another with Thai women dressed in short dressed and big heels just sitting around each bar. We did see a few Western men hanging out at these places, but it was early so it wasn’t too crowed. But I just couldn’t believe all the women. I don’t think I ever held Tony’s hand so tight walking this area.
We finally got back to the main street and right in front of an ice parlor. Perfect!!!! There’s always room for ice cream. I ordered a menta (mint) & chocolate chip (which was like cookie ice cream) in a waffle cone. OH WOW, it was so good. It cooled me off from the heat outside. Tony ordered an actual waffle, which are actually pretty big here. We have seen woman on the side of the roads just cooking up some waffles. At this ice cream place though, they put white chocolate on top of it and caramel. Tony thought he said yes to ice cream on top of that, but the girl really didn’t look like she knew what she was doing. When she gave it to Tony he was like ok and just took it. It actually turned out kind of bad. It seemed like the waffle wasn’t even cooked fully and the white chocolate spread on top was weird. I had to taste it just to make sure because of Tony’s eating habits and he was right on the dot, it wasn’t good. Just need to stick to ice cream.

We walked back to our little bungalow on the water and packed up our bags. We did however, come across this snail passing our pathway to our bungalow as we were heading in, it was HUGE.
 |
| Slowly passing our room! |
We needed to get up at 6:15 am to head to the airport to spend our last few days in Phuket. Our little lizard friend greeted us again, but then returned up on the top of our closet. This made Tony not sleep very well, but I was out!
