Waking up on an island in the Golf of Thailand, must be what I needed to get a good nights sleep (besides the weird bird noise that woke me up in the middle of the night, sounding like a squeaky horn). We had breakfast tickets so we went and checked it out. A full buffet full of Thai food & more American style breakfast - this pleased us both. Tony made himself rice with a stir fry chicken with hot peppers, while I piled on the toast, croissants, scrambled eggs with ham, cheese, & onion I had them whip up, mini bananas, pineapple & incredible papaya.

| The little bananas were so super cute! |
After breakfast we just hung out at the restaurant area because of the incredible breeze & view. I blogged a little and then went back to the room to get ready for the beach!

Finally Beach time, it's all that we wanted after the many many many adventures we encounter on our journey through Thailand & Cambodia.

| Tony took this, so don't mind my whiteness, but enjoy the view in front of me!! |
We kept seeing people selling a bunch of stuff on the beach, from sunglasses, scarves, bracelets, pictures with holding a monkey, food, and then the game guy. We wanted to get these paddles with a little ball to play on the beach and then a raft to relaxing in the water.

After some swimming in the water, bathing in the sun, and playing a hard game of paddle ball, which we were able to only hit 22 in a row before it hit the ground or water, we went to have lunch again at our hotel restaurant. We decided to share a crab curry so we could eat more later. This was the best curry dish I have had, it was amazing!!!

| Crab curry, delicious!!!!!!!!!! One of our favorites!! |
 |
| Tony had to show off his last, amazing bite of the crab curry! |
We then went and laid back down, but some this adorable little boy! And then Tony ventured off himself:

| Just thought this was so stinkin' cute |

After a nice relaxing day on the beach, we headed back to our room.
 |
| Trying to get the raft back to our room, it was a little windy & kept pushing me |
Tony showered and got ready for the night, while I went and got a 'face massage' aka facial on the beach. It was very relaxing, of course, and the cucumbers they used were seriously fresh, she shaved them right there. My skin felt so smooth after. While I was getting the face massage, Tony walked to a 7 11 to pick up a few things, he was twice offered a massage but then when he said no thank you, they pulled out a photo list of girls he could choose from - and he was pretty sure they weren't actual masseuses.
We were both a little tired from the day in the sun so we tried the energy drink that they have here. It was so sweet, and gross, it made my stomach hurt. I didn't want any more of it! We've been such early birds lately, we were trying to stay up a little longer. Tonight Manchester city played and Tony wanted to watch the game at a bar. But it started at 11pm!
 |
| Energy drink that was disgusting! |
We then went out on the streets of Koh Samui, and did some shopping! I bought another dress & sandals. We were both starting to get hungry so we started looking for a place to eat. We found a 2 story place called Spago and thought it looked good.

We got a seat at the balcony, but the view was a little distracting. It was nothing but power lines in front of us. However, we could still see the hustle & bustle in the streets below us!
 |
| Nothing like sitting next to a BUNCH of wires |
We both really enjoyed our dinners here, there was just a lot of food!

| I couldn't get over how BIG this chicken fried rice in a pineapple was! |
 |

After dinner, we headed back to the hotel to freshen up, and we called back home! Then it was out to find a bar that was playing the city game. Sure enough, there was this club right by our hotel that was playing the game. We got a great seat right in front of the TV & cold drink coming. They had WINE, which was so nice for me to sip on. It wasn't the best wine, so I squeezed a lime in it and ended up tasting great. Then it was back to the hotel and I fell right to sleep!!!
 |
| Tony watching Manchester City win against Aston Villa - game started at 11 pm here, was a late night for us! |
 |
| But they had wine for a reasonable price ($3.89 per glass - this was the cheapest I've seen, but still expensive compared to the beers costing around 50 baht ($1.62) |
