First full Day - Meeting Up with Ali & Tim

Woke-up filling refreshed, we had breakfast at 1800 Degrees where I was introduced to a new fruit called "Granadilla" - it's the weird thing in the middle of the picture.


We went and picked up our tickets to the games, which only took 15 minutes. Then walked to find a taxi to take us to our apartment called Barry Hall on Irwinton. This place is unbelievable - full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, big living room & dinning room as well as an incredible balcony off our bedroom. We just love it. This is also where we met up with Ali & Tim.

We decided to explore and find a place for lunch. Only minutes away is Main Road which has shops, restaurants, a hospital and grocery store, aka Woolworth. We walked to Beach Road where we took a stop, enjoyed the ocean view, as well as Lion's Head mountain.


We then found a cute restaurant along Beach Road called La Perla. We decided to start with Castle for the boys and a bottle of white wine for the girls. Tony got shrimp cocktail, Tim got shrimp cocktail with avocado, Ali got the pumpkin soup with almonds, and I got the mussels in a oil & garlic white wine. Everything was extremely good.
After lunch we went grocery shopping to stock up on food for lunches and dinners for the next 2 weeks. Tim loved buying oranges (only 70 for a nickel) and Tony wanted Ostrich (top shelf) to grill. Next we ran to the liquor store where we bought 7 bottles of wine, 36 beers, and 1 bottle of vodka (boys choice). As of now we are relaxing on the balcony, sipping on beverages, and possibly heading to the city center later.
